i am strongest when i am stillest. and after i carry a full grown cow? or leap over the tallest ear of corn? i am still alone with myself, only dangerous until something more dangerous usurps me; in my pocket, a knife, or gun, or key to some secret library...

I "came to believe that a power greater than myself could restore me to sanity," could bring change. Then, through prayer and meditation, my conscious contact with a power greater than self has evolved over time. I maintain alert awareness for the next indicated step.

Yes, but the egoic mind refuses to surrender and when we wage war with the same egoic weapons, we remain ensnared. "If I resist, it persists."
