I feel like the story of Jodorowsky’s Dune: the best movie never made, is in the end better than the movie we would have. But I am the kind of person who likes Lynch’s Dune.

I agree, think it's a wonderful tale of just showing how the one with a powerful vision can gather people to his side. And somehow what you wanted to say still got said.

I never saw David Lynch's Dune. What did you like about it?

The visuals I would say, and the story is understandable even without having read the book.

I really like Jodorowsky as a person, and a storyteller despite only having seen the Dune documentary and The Holy Mountain, which is the only film that lives up to the epithet of fever dream in my experience so far, I genuinely don't know whether I like it or not, it just is and it is crazy. I feel the same way about David Lynch and I've seen none of his films. I really gotta fix that sometime. I appreciated the mention at the end.(Sorry I'm just seeing this now lol) I really like his ending to Dune Paul truly being a messiah and being martyred. I would be glad to see it adapted even though that's unlikely. Jodorowsky describes his changes to the plot in a rather graphic way. I'm glad he's still working at 94, I've read a bit of his tarot book, but he was and still is very prolific.

All in good time...."Eraserhead" by Lynch might change that one and only fever dream movie.
